Learning is fun! I love to pass along my love of learning to my students. I personalize tutoring to meet the needs of each individual and family. My goal is to help each student in the most efficient manner possible. A job well done with honesty and integrity leads to successful students, happy clients, and referrals!
I graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Irvine, earning a bachelor's degree in Psychology & Social Behavior. Later, I attended graduate school at California State University in Northridge, where I earned a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.
My tutoring path began when I was a child. I always helped my classmates at school, and then, using our chalkboard at home, I "tutored" my stuffed animals everything I learned in school.
In college, at my professor's prodding, I tutored statistics at the school's peer tutoring center. After graduating college, I worked for five years at a large, well-known, national learning company, as both an instructor and a director of education.
While working for this company, I created a beginning reading program with methods and standards closely aligned with what my credential program classes taught. The owner of the franchise allowed us to test this program for a select few students, recognized the success of the program, and then allowed us to replace the corporation's beginning reading program for all the young readers attending our franchise. I also enhanced several other courses, including our writing and math programs, finding ways to help students achieve success even faster than before.
It is at this same tutoring center that I both honed my tutoring skills and theorized that effective private tutoring would be the best way to help students achieve results quickly. I was determined to prove that drawing up contracts and having parents purchase huge learning packages for their children was costly and unnecessary in most cases. So, soon after settling down in Anthem in 2006, I began my private tutoring service as TutorPro!
I have 25+ years of experience tutoring multiple subjects, working with a wide variety of students with different gifts and challenges, from preschool age through college level.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I COME FOR TUTORING?
Every student has different needs, but typically, a new family plans for 1-2 hours per week. A new student who is in desperate need of bringing up a grade in a short amount of time will likely need more hours in the short run and then taper off. A student who has caught up becomes an as-needed student who no longer maintains a regular tutoring schedule.
DO YOU TUTOR STUDENTS WITH DIAGNOSED OR SUSPECTED LEARNING DISABILITIES?
Yes! I have successfully worked with countless students with a wide range of learning challenges, including speech delay, ADHD, working memory dysfunction, dyslexia, dysgraphia, etc.
WHERE IS THE TUTORING DONE?
Almost all of my tutoring sessions are done in my home business. I have met with some students on FaceTime, on occasion.
HOW DO I PAY AND WHAT IS THE COST?
I accept cash, Venmo, Zelle, and personal checks. Tutoring is $60 per hour.
"Both of my girls went to BASIS Peoria for 3 years and they wouldn't have been nearly as successful if it wasn't for Eleni! She really knows her stuff, and when my girls are stuck and can't figure it out for themselves, she explains everything in a way that they finally understand the material. Now they are at Ridgeline Academy and are well prepared for their classes, and if new problems pop up, we still call Eleni. She has helped them succeed in chemistry, algebra, geometry, English, and biology. She is always accommodating and my girls love her. And I am happy we found the best tutor out there for them! I can only highly recommend her!"

"My daughter has worked with Eleni intermittently within the past seven years across various subject areas. As a student who takes a rigorous course load, Eleni has helped her master some very difficult content with great success. My daughter always leaves her sessions with Eleni feeling productive and confident in the material that was covered. Eleni is extremely knowledgeable, always prepared and invested in her students' success. As a mother, I am beyond grateful to have had such a dedicated tutor to help my daughter achieve her academic goals."
"Ms. Tucker has a real knack with connecting with her students and helping motivate them. My son was not happy to go to tutoring to begin with but after passing his geometry quizzes and test with A's he started requesting to please see Ms. Tucker! He went from failing math to ending the year with a B. My daughter loves the extra algebra help when she feels stuck. Both my kids love going!!!"

"I have been working with Eleni on and off since 6th grade, and I am now a senior in high school. She has helped me throughout the years to excel in the classes that I have found difficult, including Honors Chemistry and AP Calculus. She is the most dedicated teacher, and she prioritizes me as a student. Eleni makes a point to review the material we will be going over prior to my arrival to maximize the time we have together. I leave every session feeling so much more confident in myself and the material I am learning."

"Eleni did a really good job guiding me through my algebra work. Not only was she good at giving logical reasons for math equations step by step but she also helped me have a positive attitude. Working with Eleni made it more interesting than boring."
